Statistically speaking, when a car loses a tire, it is better to lose the front or rear?
I know there is a similar question on connection with explosions, however I wonder if the answer be the same if your tire completely left the car? The reason I'm asking is because year ago, I was stranded on the roadside because my wheel was not available to my right the car. Obviously the lugnuts, or anything else in that specific tire were not fully insured, so that the tire started to work their way out of the shaft. Now I am not entirely to the couple on the way to know what happens to my car, so I'd have to look when I got home, but before he could reach my destination, my wheel rolled over four lanes of road. My question is whether it is statistically safer for losing a front wheel or rear wheel. I would also like to know, for my own personal enjoyment, where I can get data on the number of incidents of this type occur and how bad they end up being. That's probably a bit too detailed Than Ever be given, however. Thanks!
I have no earthly idea of what the statistics are real, may be able to find on the National Highway Traffic Safety Institute's website. As regards to lose, after science true, and for some reasons. One is the control. If your back starts to drag, you can still run almost as well as you soon as possible to get by. Secondly, on SUVs and trucks, is the momentum. If the rear wheel leaves, you are dragging something (your own back) behind. If one falls FRONT due to weight change and increased of friction, you could have a turn, and that's not good. Personally, I did lose a front wheel (no tire, the whole wheel) at speeds Interstate, but in a Sports Car, so there was less loss of balance, it was already low to the ground. Steering was done drastically though as I have tried to leave the road.
