Tonka Toys?
What happened to them. out was to buy a Tonka Truck neighbors for the child and could not find anything that was not done plastic and seemed to come apart before reaching the box. I ended up buying a timber truck on the road fans. When starting Tonka Slide the large decrease in CHEAPDOM?
"When Tonka began the great retreat CHEAPDOM slides?" When Hasbro bought the company! It ruined all kinds of toys through the acquisition of the quality of the toy companies-once. http://www.hasbro.com/tonka/default.cfm?page=about
Trinidad and Tobago, Islands of Adventure
Trinidad and Tobago, two islands in the Caribbean. The name Caribbean conjures up images of blue seas and sandy beaches White Against the background of green hills. It brings to mind images of lying on the beach sipping pina coladas or rum and coke. For the vacation traveler Tobago meet those expectations. For outdoor enthusiasts, however, Trinidad and Tobago can be islands of the adventure of outdoor recreation with hiking trails and hidden waterfalls, birds and turtles cycling through verdant countryside or kayaking past wildlife filled forests.
Trinidad and Tobago has a range of hiking opportunities with many of hikes leading to waterfalls. Rincon waterfall in Rincon Valley on the north coast of Trinidad is a vertical drop of 250 feet. The walk begins in the valley among small farms, fording several streams clear and winds uphill, culminating with a steep descent to the base of the waterfall. The 32 km route of Blanchissuese to Matelot on Trinidad's north coast is considered a jewel. Over a rise in the virgin forest of virgin beaches alternate. As of Paria is Blanchissuese the Bay after two to three hours (depending on the level of fitness hiking.) A short path leads from the beach to Paria waterfall where there is a deep clear pool below the falls surrounded by heliconia, fringed lilies, and philodendron. If you continue the walk after Paria Bay, the trail wanders over a succession of small ridges, crossing several small streams, until Gran Tacaribe next meeting, which is a beach of 1.2 km crescent shaped. Since the trail continues Gran Tacaribe to the river and then Madamas Madamas Beach. Both Beach and Gran Tacaribe Madamas are nesting sites for leatherback turtles during the nesting season from March to September. After Madamas is a continuation of the walk up and down and across small streams and the river Petite Riviere. The road continues through the estate lands abandoned with cocoa, coffee, tonka bean, nutmeg and papaya (papaya) to reach the river and the village of Matelot Matelot.
For those who want to lie on the beach but also engage in some outdoor activity there are several less strenuous excursions. Argyle waterfall on the outskirts of Roxborough in Tobago is an easy walk Argyle along the river to a cascade of three levels. The hike to the Rio Seco waterfall on the northeast coast of Trinidad passes through the semi-cultivated land, and then through mora majestic forest to a small waterfall with a refreshing emerald pool, ideal for swimming.
Both Trinidad and Tobago and birds abound in turn one almost every the avian spectacle can be observed. Trinidad and Tobago has some of the most diverse bird species found in a place with more than 460. This variety of species may perhaps be attributed to the fact that the islands are close to South America so migration is easier, resulting in exceptionally diverse fauna. Asa Wright Nature Center, is Trinidad and Tobago birding site and has been widely recognized as one of the stories of eco-tourism with more success in the world. The list of birds can be seen in this center is too long for this article, but has identified around 159. Some of these birds include; Honeycreeper Purple, Green Honeycreeper, Oriole crest, peak Tangara silver, white-necked Jacobin hummingbirds, warblers, red-legged honeycreeper, White-breasted Emerald hummingbird, Cocoa Thrush, Chestnut Woodpecker, Great Antshrike. The Nature Center is located at an altitude of approximately 1,200 feet of the hills of the Northern Range, seven miles from the town of Arima. It reached by a single lane road that winds through green fields dotted with small villages and isolated houses. There are numerous trails throughout the building and very well informed guides.
Grafton Wildlife Sanctuary, Tobago, is a former cocoa and coconut property was destroyed by Hurricane Flora in 1963 and subsequently became a sanctuary wildlife. It is approx. 200 acres and is covered by secondary forest. There are three main forest routes. Upon entering, the first path on the right leads downhill and is relatively short. The second path to the left also gradually leads downhill and then eventually goes up. The main runway, which is directly opposite the entrance leads and winds uphill for several abandoned property and the stables. There are benches along the main track and at some points that offer panoramic views. There are at least three smaller trails that branch off the main road uphill but they do not always stay. The three main forest trails are maintained. You can move a pleasant hour or four hours intense. The whole sanctuary is full of birds of various species.
Trinidad and Tobago are islands in the Caribbean Sea so there are countless opportunities for canoeing. However, for those who do not want to deal with large waves, ocean swells and ocean currents, Trinidad and Tobago offers a selection saltwater and freshwater kayaking opportunities coat. Two areas of special mention are kayak Bon Accord Lagoon and the river Godineau.
The blue waters of the Bay Buccoo and Bon Accord Lagoon in Tobago are protected by Buccoo offshore reef, providing a kayaking area with only gentle waves. Kayak rentals are available in the nearby Storebay and in Pigeon Point. The strip of mangroves in the Bon Accord Lagoon contrast landscape of white sand beaches along Pigeon Point and center Buccoo Bay. The stems of the reef also shelter in neighboring Milford Bay, allowing a kayak trip through the south-east of the Laguna Bon Accord around Pigeon Point and Milford Bay or vice versa.
The Godineau River in southern Trinidad, also known as the South River Oropouche, is a of rivers in Trinidad that provides an opportunity to kayak all year round the water level is always sufficient. Kayak in the area Godineau takes you through a variety of habitats, from saltwater mangrove swamp to freshwater marsh partially cultivated areas. A variety of birds can be seen on these kayak trips Scarlet Ibis including uterus, Osprey, Savannah Hawk, Wattled Jacana, Cattle Egret, Yellow hooded Blackbird, Lesser Yellowlegs, Black-bellied Whistling Duck and a variety of migrating ducks (during the northern winter). This kayak trip can be started either from the sea along the area known as the Mosquito Creek or within the wooded area.
Trinidad network of old farm roads and oil fields more (relatively) quiet country roads, along with hiking paths offer a range of surfaces and environments for cycling. Besides the field ranges for the introduction of flat land is inclined to the slopes. For those with a preference for road cycling almost every area of Trinidad has rural roads with low vehicle traffic. The cross-country pilot will be able to find undulating terrain natural order. Those whose interest lies in mountain biking trails can be found in the forest of logs, bamboo and streams across the trail that require navigation and skill.
So the next time you are looking for outdoor recreational activity with a difference, the experience of Trinidad and Tobago Islands of Adventure.
