Monogram Models Other vs Quality
The most important aircraft model kits producers today are companies like Revell-Monogram, Italeri, Airfix, Heller, Testors and Minicraft others.
40-50 years ago, Revell and Monogram where the main competitors were the two production aircraft models. However, 1986 both companies have been acquired by Odyssey Partners of New York and merged. In 2006 the German subsidiary of Revell-Monogram separated and established a new company revenues even slightly surpassing the company's parent. In 2007 Hobicco Inc. announced the acquisition of Revell-Monogram LLC. Some of the new Models Revell of Germany are known for their High Quality, but still not equal to that of the models today Monogram Monogram is used to mark the high-models Call Quality Pro Kits Modeller.

Italeri is Italian producer of several models plastic. Overall impression of the Italeri model kits is that they are representing midrange quality, but keep in mind is that their newer computers are constantly improving. However Monogram models are better in quality then varied Italeri.
Britain is a major producer Airfix plastic kits was founded in 1939 and is owned Humbrol from 1986-2006 and is now owned by Hornby. As far as quality is superior midrange reference trying Revell of Germany, but still below standards professional quality Monogram models.
Heller kits is French-based manufacturer which was founded in 1957 and was part of the same group with from Airfix 1986. In 2005, Heller was the subject of a buyout, but the following year the company entered administration. For many years, Airfix models were in France, with Heller models that mean they are of similar quality to the Airfix and in line with the line of Revell-Monogram Revell company.
Minicraft models is the manufacturer of plastic kits based in Illinois, USA. Although in some editions Minicraft has a pretty bad reputation for molding of poor, badly adjustment and a poor correlation with the originals that have begun to improve with his final molds. Furthermore Minicraft decal sheets are of exquisite quality. In general quality is superior, while Revell Monogram models represent a quality reference.
Testor was founded in 1929 and began producing cement amateur model 1936 and in 1945 began production of balsa models. During the 70 has Testor added to its portfolio of brands such as BMI and Italeri. It is a manufacturer with long tradition and high image quality, but varied slightly below the monogram that is positioned as a high quality line.
