Strange click / sound when starting car?
my friend's car is clicking sounds, either in the morning when cold or have been around and is heated. We went to a mechanic and did not know what to do and only said it needs more oil (but the oil was full). So I went for an oil change anyway, so the filter was carried out as the best material in still makes noise. Went and saw another man who suggested thrusters could be used but then I saw another man who was not like they are fine. So I really do not know what I'm looking for to be fixed …. It is a Mazda Familia 1991 hatchback
Well, if it is a Mazda four-cylinder, most likely Hydraulic Lash Adjusters, or HLA, valve. Instead of pressing rocker, these are little hydraulic cylinders at the ends of the arms that control the "play" on the valves. The problem is that either perform (n no longer offer any kind of pressure), or the oil passages in the rocker arms are clogged with debris (and therefore the oil is not reaching them to provide pressure). The passages are very small, so easily happens if you forget the oil change intervals. The solution is to disarm the cam followers (rocker) and clean out the passages, and supersedes any HLA easily compressed. You may have knowledge of import / Mazda mechanic do it or do it yourself, since there are losses and up online about this.
