It is important to check Travel Guide Book Information for Accuracy
When planning your travels in a foreign country, make sure count not only in the guidebooks. It is very wise to take time to consult the travel websites to ensure that Internet-date information.
Guide books have long been traveling companion and in the past were essential to ensure that necessary information was available to them, especially if the passenger does not speak the local language.
More recently, the Internet has taken over as the most reliable source of information due to the fact that it is organic and is always changing and updating. A printed book is likely to become obsolete quickly.
For example, last year I traveled to Costa Rica and took over the latest edition of Lonely Planet. It was published just a year earlier and for the most part it was a good guide and most of the information was to date and useful.
However, in some cases do not get me wrong and I suspect many other weary travelers may be experiencing the same thing. On several occasions I had planned ahead using information from the Lonely Planet guide book, only to find I was wrong.
Such a situation can leave a passenger in a bind if they do not have backup options. Especially in some cases where the remote location may mean that you are stranded or without a bed for the night.
The most worrying incident was when I took the bus to Volcano Poas, near Alajuela. The bus trip from San Jose is great and is cheap too. I got to the volcano in the morning and enjoy the day there.
In the afternoon walking through the neighborhood to the constitution contained in the Lonely Planet, only to find myself offered a dirty wooden shack in the amount of $ 30! I was horrified from the list Lonely Planet What You Queiroz as links to more decent. I'm guessing you have not had a representative there lately.
Fortunately, a neighbor could present to offer a clean room with excellent views and breakfast included for just $ 45. I was out of my budget, but very worth it, especially since I had a good hot shower and went to spend the night in front of a wood stove instead.
