Ford Crestline

Restoration of a ridge line 54 ford?
I just picked up a 54 ford Crestline missing engine and trans. I had every piece of Crome, until the emblem Ford was pried off the trunk for storage. There are some problems with rust in two panels. A door window is again arrested and the windshield is cracked. I know he had a three-speed trans (the tree) and a manual engine overdive. I start looking for replacement parts and want a good start in the search of things. I've been doing loops on the web with no good track. My Dad is willing to put a spa 80 5.0L and an automatic transmission to help me get in way. I like how they always return to the manual transmission. The engine I am willing to work with them. So what I'm asking is: "Is there a head engine out there that I can give an advantage to get this new classic in the way? "
The original saturation was built in the propeller shaft of the transmission. If your car had a principle that says overdrive in the posterior trunk cable will handle mounted under the dashboard with overdrive written on it. Would also be a mounted electrical switch gear ratio under the gas pedal and a different wiring harness. Find all the original parts would cost more than 5.0 for transport. The switch to an automatic system is easy. I drove a 54 with stock motor and overdrive and you will be happier with the 5.0 with the car in my opinion. Dad's right. The loadings were weak and problematic with 110 horsepower for prolly usually contain up to 200 horsepower or so.
