Linux wubi download?
Ok I’m downloading Linux.I’m using wubi to do this. It says that the time remaining is 56:4:12 so is this 56:hours 4:minutes 12:seconds?
How long did it take you to download linux using wubi?
and one more thing, I clicked cancel a few time because it looked like it froze or the kb/s were dropping in to bytes per second and every time i started it again it would start from where it left off and go a little bit faster will this cause any problems.
i have to download 697.3 MiB and its doing it at 3kb/s and im using Fios…so im not sure whats going on…
also i am already dual booting with another windows os (im using pro but i have the media edition as a second one) i can’t use the second one because of a virus and it isn’t working so will linux still work?
Stop the wubi download. You will be better off just downloading the ISO file for the version you want to install, then burning the image on a CD yourself. You should be able to download the ISO image with FIOS in under 30 minutes.
When you install Linux on the parititon that you can’t use, it will format it and create a new, Linux-compatible file system on that partition. Everything on that partition will be deleted. There’s no need to worry about Windows viruses because they can’t harm a Linux system.
