Yes…its been asked a million times BUT…I have a 7hr 30min layover in EWR…?

I am flying in from Europe and then on to Las Vegas from EWR with Continental.

Will we go through customs at EWR? If so, how long does it take?
How long in to NYC?
How early should we be back?

Thanx all!
Edit – i’ve been to NYC before, but i’ll be damned if im sitting in airport for nearly 8 hours.

Don’t leave.

Buy a book, get a bite to eat. STAY PUT.

Customs in Newark takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the time of day and day of the week. That being said, if you leave the airport you have to go back through security and that takes an hour plus at times.

Add an hour to get into NYC by train (NJ Coast Line to Newark, then a PATH or Amtrak to NYC). Then what. You have a few hours to do what? Walk around and take a few pictures? You can’t see a city in two hours (remember, you have to take a train BACK to EWR.

Just stay put. See New York some other time. Man up and live with it.

EDIT: Then change your flight. Continental has three flights a day from Heathrow to Newark.
