I have a 1998 Monte Carlo z34 and the oxygen sensor on the #1 bank is bad… where is it located?
Hello in the exhaust pipe.1 bank is the same as right or left.Your engine is transverse.Meaning it is side ways.You have a front and rear also.If looking at the engine from in front of the car the front of the engine is to your left and the rear is to your right.Hope you follow so far?Looking at the front of the engine.#1 bank and cylinder or piston on any engine is sticking out just a little more than the other bank(side)of the engine.Now do yo have a up stream and a down stream o2 sensor?Meaning do you have two or four?two on each side.You have got to be confused at this point-I’m starting to and i know what i’m talking about.Whew the sensor looks like a spark plug with wires to it .Best of luck to ya !
