How does a Pullback Car motor work?
I want to replicate one in larger size for my little physics car, but I need to know about the mechanism behind it. Help?
Buy a little Toy Car and take it apart. I suspect you’ll find that the input ratchet wheel is considerably larger than the output shaft. When you Pull Back on the car, you are putting much more energy into the system than the spring releases over the same linear distance. But you’ll learn more just by inspecting the parts.
