Portable CD Player w/ bookmark button or cassette player with automatic reverse? (for blind person)?
Can anyone provide me with a link to a (currently in stock) portable cd player with a “bookmark” (aka “resume” aka “re-read”) button (not a hold down one of the buttons until an icon appears on the display screen, but a seperate button), to buy online?
Can anyone provide me with a link to a (currently in stock) portable audio cassette tape player with the “auto-reverse” feature, to buy online?
I need to buy one/both for my mother in law who is blind and loves audio books..
She currently has a portable CD player with the “re-read”/”bookmark” button, but she’s worried that it will stop working over time, and Brilliance Audio doesn’t make them anymore.
She had a cassette player with the “automatic reverse” feature, but the machine died, and Panasonic discontinued the model.
None of the companies have been helpful when I contacted them.
I have done internet searches trying to find what I’m looking for, but haven’t gotten results.
Can someone on Y!Answers help please?

If you can’t find what you are looking for online, then maybe you can try calling a school for the visually impaired. Explain what you are trying to do and see if they can advise you. You can also check with your school district’s special education/special needs department. Ask them about sources of adaptive technology such as mp3 players for the visually impaired.
You can also see if the one your friend has is on ebay and try getting a backup.
