How I can know if they are all-terrain tires?

I told my friend not to get those tires (long story) … now he me is saying that has not yet .. but do not look like normal tires … (He has a F-150) … How I can know if he is lying to me? How I can know whether or not all-terrain tires? / I know it sounds stupid … but please help me … give thanks.

It is actually a question difficult to explain. All terrain tires are made for off-road performance, compared with normal tires only be in road. Usually you can tell a little more likely it is an all-terrain tire looking at the tread and the tread depth. If the tread aggressive look (off-roadish) and has profound various nodes or rolling, like the humps is ready for grip on rock, snow or gravel, then most likely is an all-terrain tire. Sometimes, the tire will say "road" or "A / T" on the tire sidewall. Many times these tires are larger and more sturdy looking than normal tires. On the road truck tires have a smoother surface tread design that looks more like a normal car tire. All Terrain tread: Normal http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/bfg/bfg_alterr_tako_ci2_l.jpg truck tires (Highway All-Season): http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/yokohama/yo_geo_hts_g051_owl_ci2_l.jpg hope this helps. If you do not have physical access help and the truck, type the make and model of tire down and Google to get a clearer picture of whether regular ATV or truck tires.
